Objectives of the Section: Definition and purpose.
The International Management Section of the Scientific Association of Economics and Business Management (ACEDE-DI), founded in September 2008, aims to promote excellence in scientific research and teaching in international management. Its purpose is to cover and strengthen all issues related to the international projection of companies, promoting the exchange of knowledge, academic collaboration, and the development of new perspectives in this key area for global competitiveness.
In a context marked by geopolitical tensions, climate change, trade protectionism, and growing demands for sustainability, this Section seeks to provide innovative solutions and strategic approaches that allow companies to navigate an increasingly complex and dynamic international environment successfully.
Activities and initiatives: Description of the actions carried out.
One of the initiatives developed by the Section is the periodic launch of a Newsletter. This Newsletter not only aims to disseminate the results of our research activity but also to be an excellent tool for detecting new opportunities for research and collaboration.

Decision-making bodies: Information on internal functioning.
In ACEDE-DI, the decision-making bodies are framed within the general functioning of the association, ensuring coherence with its objectives and activities. Regular meetings of the management team, usually held online, allow for coordinating ongoing initiatives and projects. In addition, an annual meeting with all the members coincides with the annual congress of ACEDE, an itinerant event that takes place in different Spanish universities. Likewise, other academic meetings, such as workshops or other events, are used to make informal contacts that encourage the exchange of ideas and strengthen collaboration between members.
Working commissions: Thematic areas or outstanding projects.
ACEDE-DI does not have a closed list of thematic areas, as we encourage flexibility and adaptation to the needs of our members and current challenges. However, the main topics of interest include exports, international entrepreneurship, international strategic alliances, international innovation, investment abroad, international clustering, gloobal value chains, multinationals and CSR, emerging economies, and family businesses.
The most outstanding projects that address these areas are precisely detailed in the Teaching and Research and transfer sections, showing the impact and scope of our activities in these areas.
