The Family Business section of the Spanish Academy of Management was created on September 14, 2008.
This section of ACEDE aims to analyze, investigate and publicize the reality of family businesses. It deals with topics specific to family businesses, such as innovation, culture, the influence of the family on the company, governance, internationalization, human resources management, etc. It also promotes the dissemination of knowledge about family businesses among undergraduate and master's degree students.
The section organizes an annual Workshop on family businesses with the participation of specialized speakers.
Another of the initiatives developed by the Section is the biannual launching of a Newsletter. This Newsletter not only aims to disseminate the results of our research activity, but also to become an excellent tool for detecting new research and collaboration opportunities.
On the other hand, from the section we would like to count on all of you to explore new proposals to strengthen our collaboration ties and increase our visibility. Therefore, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we can jointly analyze any new idea that will allow us to move forward in both directions.
The members of the section can send their queries and suggestions to the Secretary of the section,
President: Remedios Hernández Linares (Universidad de Extremadura)
Vicepresident: María Asunción Sacristán Navarro (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos)
Secretary: José María Fernández Yáñez (Universitat Jaume I)
