ECN-ACEDE Workshop Building Theory: What to do and what to avoid from an editor's perspective
On Friday, November 22, from 15:00 to 16:30 (CET), the workshop "Building Theory: What to do and what to avoid from an editor's perspective" will take place. It will be taught by Joaquín Alegre, Professor at the University of Valencia and co-editor of the International Journal of Management Reviews. It will be broadcast online and in Spanish through the ACEDE Intranet.
This workshop will focus on explaining theory building from the experience of an editor of a prestigious journal. The speaker will share valuable insights on what reviewers and editors look for when evaluating theoretical mechanisms in manuscripts, how to strengthen theoretical arguments, and the importance of effectively integrating different theoretical approaches. Best practices in theory building and common mistakes that authors should avoid to increase their chances of success in the peer review process will be addressed.
