Three types of awards are announced:
- a. The ACEDE Award.
This award recognizes the best paper among all those presented at the congress whose authors express their desire to compete for it. This award aims to recognize the best research and is open to all papers presented at the Congress, regardless of the number and characteristics of the authors or co-authors. The award is given to the paper and is received by all the signatories of the work.
- b. The ACEDE - Early Career Researcher Award.
This award recognizes the best paper among all those presented at the congress by early career researchers who express their desire to compete for it. This award aims to encourage and recognize the work done by young researchers, so only early career researchers can compete for it, meaning those who are either doctoral candidates (registered at the congress as such) or researchers who have defended their doctoral thesis no more than two years before the Congress. Papers competing in this category must be signed by a maximum of three authors, at least one of whom must meet the aforementioned early career researcher condition. This award is not given to all the signatories of the paper but exclusively to those authors who meet the early career researcher condition.
- c. The ACEDE Section Awards.
These awards recognize, in each section, the best paper presented at the congress whose authors express their desire to compete for the award in a specific section.
